ACRI

Acri (Associazione delle Fondazioni e delle Casse di risparmio italiane) is an independent, non-profit, Association representing the Italian Bank Foundations and Savings banks.
Acri supports its Members in order to achieve their institutional goals, safeguard their assets and pursue economic development. It coordinates its Members' activities and promotes joint and common-interest projects even developing international relations and arranging actions and projects with third parties.

Acri represents its Members before the Foundation Supervision Authority Acri cooperates closely with the Italian Banking Association (Abi) to deal with issues of common
interest between Savings Banks and other banks.

Yearly, Acri promotes the Competition “ACRI – Young Investigators Training Program” aimed to award visiting research fellowships. In 2017, the Department of Economics “Marco Biagi”, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia submitted a project on “Recent trends in the innovation of financial systems: challenges for regulators and institutions” to ACRI, the project is in conjunction with Modena 2018 Wolpertinger Conference.

The main research areas include:
Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Instruments, Financial Regulation, Financial Engineering. Thanks to the ACRI Program, twelve selected young nvestigators of different nationalities working in research Centres outside Italy have the opportunity to spend at least one-month by Italian university Departments to carry out research activity.

They also participate in the Conference and the Pitch Session presenting their research projects.
